A talk on 'Graffiti and Mural Art' was organized by the Faculty of Art and Design at Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University.
The talk, held at Avşar Han, featured Graffiti and Mural Artist Reach Geblo as the speaker.
In his opening speech at the talk, Associate Professor Murat Kara from the Faculty of Art and Design informed about the challenges and application stages of mural art. Kara emphasized their aim to provide a platform where students can turn theoretical knowledge into practice.
Describing Mural as pictorial works on large wall and ceiling surfaces, and Graffiti as a phenomenon based on writing derived from the words scribbling and drawing, Reach Geblo shared information about the history of mural art and graffiti with the students. Presenting works of both local and foreign artists with visuals, Reach also provided examples from his own work to explain various aspects of his art to the participants.
The talk concluded after answering questions from the students. It provided an opportunity for students to experience both the practical and theoretical dimensions of art together.
